We’ve streamlined our tenant application process to make it easy for you to secure your ideal rental property once you’ve found an advertised property that you’re interest in.
Here’s a simple guide to get you started:.
1. Ensure you meet the minimum criteria:
- Be full time employed and have a payslip
- Salary or combined salary is more than double the rental amount
- If you are self employed, Have signed AFS from an accountant
- You have the first months rental and deposit upfront
- Are able to retrieve your latest 3 months bank statement reflecting income
- If you are newly employed, we require a letter of employment
2. Schedule a Viewing:
Reach out to schedule a viewing of the property. Our team will guide you through the walkthrough, answering any questions you may have.
3. Submit Required Documents:
Once you have viewed the property you desire and are happy to proceed, gather necessary documents such as your payslip, bank statements and a copy of your RSA ID or Passport (for non RSA residents) . Submit these documents via email to admin @ chasingdaylight.co.za , or print them and drop them at our offices.
4. Application Review:
Our team will carefully review your application and documents. We aim to provide a prompt response, typically within 2 business days.
5. Lease Agreement:
Once your application is approved, we’ll provide you with a lease agreement. Review the terms carefully, and feel free to ask any questions.
6. Security Deposit and Rent Payment:
Secure your rental by paying the required security deposit and the first month’s rent. Details on payment methods and due dates will be outlined in the lease agreement.
7. Move-In Inspection:
On the day of your move-in, we’ll conduct a joint inspection of the property. Note any pre-existing conditions, and we’ll ensure everything is in order.
